Why an Account is Necessary to Build Your New App

When developing your FanX app, the app is built on both iOS (Apple) and Android (Google Play). In order to build the app on iOS, Apple requires we build it on the associated organization’s Apple Developer Account. Due to this, Snap! Mobile must be given access to your organization’s Apple Developer Account.

Finding an Existing Apple Developer Account

To start, we always recommend reaching out to your IT department to see if they are aware of an active Apple Developer Account. Whether the answer is "Yes" or "No" will determine our next action. If the answer is "Yes", proceed to Inviting Snap! Mobile to Your AccountIf "No", follow the steps below to create a new account.

Enrolling in the Apple Developer Account Program

  1. See What You'll Need to Enroll...
  2. Review DUNS# information or click to look up your organization.
    • Click here if you need a new DUNS#
  3. Using your information, begin the enrollment process
  4. Wait the 3-5 allotted business days for your enrollment to be confirmed, then proceed to Inviting Snap! Mobile to Your Account

If you have not received confirmation from Apple that your Apple Developer Account has been set up, set up a call with Apple Developer Support. (You will be prompted to sign-in using a valid Apple ID upon entering.)

PRO TIP: Set your Apple Developer Account Membership to Auto-Renew to avoid app update blockages.

ACCESS LEVELS

  • ADMIN level access is preferred as it allows us to manage any updated Apple agreements. These agreements can block app releases and updates, which will require Admin or Account Holder intervention to clear.
  • APP MANAGER access with additional access to certificates, identifiers, & profiles is the second option. This will allow us to build, submit, and update your app, but agreements will need to be managed by an Admin or Account Holder.

FAQ's

Why can't Snap! Mobile build my app on their own account?

Apple prohibits developers from submitting similar apps from one account to the App Store. Because we provide mobile apps for hundreds of schools and organizations across the country, we fall into this category of "similar apps".
