π Messaging β Coach Quick Start Guide
How to Create a Messaging Channel and Start Messaging Parents & Athletes
1) Log In & Access Messaging
- Log into https://messages.snap.app/,
- Or Click the Messaging icon in the top-right corner
- Youβll land on your Messaging Dashboard
- If you donβt see Messaging, your AD may still need to invite you
2) Create a New Messaging Channel
- Click New Chat
- Select Program Channel & make selections to the prompts
- Choose Two-Way Chat (allow responses in the thread from channel members) or Broadcast Only (only outgoing messages from channel moderators)
- Choose Audience Type β If students will be in the channel at all, select Students
- Name your channel (ex: Varsity Baseball 2025)
- Click Create Channel
3) Add Moderators (Optional)
- Add assistant coaches, team managers, or booster leads
- Or click Skip & Finish if no one else needs access
4) Invite Athletes & Parents
You have 3 ways to add members:

π Members must create their Snap! Mobile login before they appear in the channel.
5) Use Messaging in the App
- Log into your organization's app using the same email & password
- Tap the Messaging icon in the top-right to view chats
- You can send messages, attach files, and reply in real time

You can send and receive messages in the app
β You cannot create new channels in the app β only from web
6) Edit Your Channel Anytime
From Messaging Admin, you can:
- Rename the channel
- Switch between Broadcast β Two-Way
- Add/remove moderators
- Add/remove members

- Not seeing Messaging? β Confirm your invite was accepted
- Members missing? β They may not have created their Snap! Mobile login yet
- App showing no chat? β Check you're logged in with the same credentials as on web
- Still stuck? β Contact your AD or Snap! Mobile Support
