How to Use Mobile Score Entry
This guide covers how to log in and update game scores directly from your mobile device using the Mobile Score Entry feature.
Overview
The Mobile Score Entry tool allows designated App Portal Users to update game scores in real time during or after events. Once a score is saved, the scoreboard automatically updates for all users following that event.
Access Requirements
-
Mobile Score Entry is only available to users with App Portal access.
-
Users without portal access will not see the Scoring tab on event pages.
-
The feature supports real-time updates and syncs with Manage, ensuring two-way data consistency.
Steps to Enter Scores
1. Log In
-
Open the app and log in using your App Portal credentials.
-
Complete any onboarding prompts if applicable (these do not affect scoring access).
2. Open the Event
-
Navigate to the event you wish to score.
-
Tap on the Scoring tab — this tab will only appear for authorized users.
3. Enter the Score
-
Enter the score for the event.
-
For volleyball, scores can be entered by set or match.
-
Example: enter 25–20 for Set 1, 25–18 for Set 2, etc.
-
-
Tap Save after entering each score.
-
The live scoreboard will automatically update for all viewers, including public users following the game.
Note: Mobile score entry currently supports whole numbers only — no decimals.
4. Finalize the Game
-
Once all sets, innings, or periods are complete, tap Save again and mark the event as Final.
-
If the Team Record Update feature is enabled, the team’s record will automatically update when the game is finalized.
Updating Past Games
You can also update scores for past events:
-
Navigate to a previous event without a recorded score.
-
Open the Scoring tab and enter the results.
-
Save to sync changes with both the app and Manage.
Important Notes
-
Volleyball Scoring:
While volleyball can be scored set-by-set or by final match score, it’s recommended to enter the match score (e.g., 3–2) for clarity. -
Live View:
Public users and followers see score updates immediately after saving. -
Device Display:
On smaller screens, scroll to view the full page if the Save button or ads obscure the scoring section.
